I am currently a communications person at an academic research program in the Boston-area that has nothing to do with the ocean or the environment. In former lives I worked and studied in the environmental field. This blog is my outlet for spreading and sharing information on the importance of our oceans. And a place where I can apply my communications skills to something I love. The name comes from a former grad school roommate of mine who would introduce me as a "kelphugger." I also love playing in the ocean.
